Child Molestation
Scripture
Psalm 58:10,11 "The
godly shall rejoice in the triumph of right; they shall walk
the blood-stained fields of slaughtered,
wicked men. Then at last everyone will know that good is rewarded
and that there is a God who judges justly and fairly."
Message
Shame on the man
(or woman) who allows his flesh to sin, leading him to shed
the innocent blood of a child. They shall truly
be condemned. Jesus said in Luke 17:2 "that it would be
better for a huge millstone to be hung around the neck of the
one who harms a child and be thrown into the sea than the judgment
they will face from God for their despicable act." If
you are the victim of this inconceivable act, fear not. For
the Lord is with you. No, He did not prevent what happened,
for life is full of evil and pain. But He will keep His promise
and walk with you through hard times, by providing you with
strength in your time of need. Through your misfortune He can
turn evil into good and your pain into blessings. I know this
first hand, for I have been where you are.
I know you must feel truly heartsick and violated, especially
if you knew and trusted your (your child's) predator. Do not
feel guilty. It is not your fault! This person is a very sick
human being and they need help desperately. Pray for them.
Yes, I said pray for them. Then forgive them. I assure you
that you will be stronger for it. It will not undo your pain
or the memories, but it will help you to move on. Do not let
this be something that prevents you from having the life that
God meant for you to have. Don't let Satan hit twice!
You need the strength of God now more than ever. He is the
only one that can get you through. If asking for His help is
something you always do, then do it again now. Feel the work
begin in your heart and know that He is God. If it has been
awhile since you called on Him, do not despair. Just bow your
head and ask Him to come into your heart. He has been waiting
a very long time.
Prayer
Dear Lord, Please heal me of my pain and my memories. Please
make me new, and cause me to feel clean. I need Your healing,
Lord. Please use this difficult time in my life that Satan
has meant for evil, for good. Help me forgive the one who did
this to me, like You forgave those who hurt You. I know without
Your help, I can not forgive. Please comfort me and show me
that I am a person of value and extreme worth because You love
me and You suffered and died for me. Thank you that you promised
in Your Word to make all things new and that You have said
You will heal the broken hearted. I hurt so much, Lord and
I need you to hold me and heal me. Thank you for being with
me and never letting me go. In Your Son's glorious name. Amen.
